Organized at New Orleans, La., March 6, 1864. Attached to Defences of New Orleans to April, 1865. District of La Fourche and Dept. of the Gulf to May, 1866.

SERVICE--Garrison and guard duty in the Defences of New Orleans and in District of La Fourche, Dept. of the Gulf, entire term. Mustered out May, 1866.

SERVICE.--Duty in the Defences of New Orleans, La., until January, 1863. Moved to Baton Rouge, La., January 13-14, and duty there until May. Reconnoissance to False River March 19. Reconnoissance from Baton Rouge May 13. Advance on Port Hudson May 14-24. Operations about Monett's Plantation and on Bayou Sara Road May 18-19. Action at Plain's Store May 21. Siege of Port Hudson May 24-July 9. Assaults on Port Hudson May 27 and June 14. Surrender of Port Hudson July 9. Cox's Plantation, Donaldsonville, July 12-13.
